Many ski enthusiasts choose to go skiing in Austria, France or Switzerland. But you know better: Italy is a great country with very good ski resorts and atmospheric villages. For ski enthusiasts looking for accommodation in an Italian ski resort, we have listed all our chalets and apartments below. Is there anything that caught your interest? Book directly online or contact us. We are happy to help!
If you want to know what a good Italian ski resort is, who do you ask? You probably ask a friend or acquaintance who has been there for advice. Another option: ask our travel consultants. With over 20 years of experience, they know exactly what the best Italian ski resorts are. Below our top 5:
If we ask our travel consultants, Val Gardena is by far the most beautiful ski resort in Italy. Located in the Dolomites, the ski area is known for being sunny and snowy. A top combination. The ski area consists of 175 km of slopes and the famous ski route Sella Ronda runs through the area. If you want to go skiing in Val Gardena, Santa Cristina is an atmospheric base. The village is in the middle of the ski area and offers everything for a great ski holiday.
You have probably heard of the Dolomites. This mountain range stretches across South Tyrol, Belluno and Trentino. The Dolomites have a distinctive look with high peaks and steep mountainsides. In between are some of Italy's most beautiful ski resorts: Arabba/Marmolada, Tre Valli, Ski Civetta, Val Gardena and Val di Fassa. All the ski resorts in the Dolomites (there are 12 in total) are connected by ski lifts and buses. The Dolomiti Superskipass gives you access to all 1200 kilometres of pistes in the Dolomites.
Despite the fact that you can conquer an incredible amount of slopes in the Dolomites on 1 ski pass, the Dolomites are not the largest ski area in Italy. In fact, when we talk about the largest ski area, we are looking at the largest interconnected area, where all the slopes are connected by ski lifts, so you don't have to take off your skis. Italy's largest ski area is therefore Via Lattea. The area is located in both Italy and France and consists of 400 kilometres of slopes.
Would you like to go skiing in Italy? Check our offer below and book your holiday directly online. Of course you can also give us a call: our travel consultants are ready to answer all your questions and take care of your booking.
