Chalet Vonnes was newly built in 2014 on Lac de Vonnes in the winter sports village of Châtel. The chalet has a quiet but convenient location just 100 meters from the two brand new chairlifts Portes du Soleil and Gabelou. The Portes du Soleil chairlift takes you to the Super-Châtel area, which connects to the Swiss part of Les Portes du Soleil. With the Gabelou chairlift you reach the slopes of the Linga/Pré-la-Joux area, where you can then take the Télécabine du Linga towards Avoriaz.
