The apartments Les Soldanelles in Châtel are conveniently located in the village. The center is about 250 meters walking distance, but there are already a few shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the apartments. The Super-Châtel gondola lift (approx. 500 meters) brings you from the center into the Super-Châtel ski area. From this area you have access to the slopes of the Swiss part of Les Portes du Soleil and the Linga/Pré-la-Joux ski area, where you can take the ski lift in the direction of Avoriaz. The Linga cabin lift and Pré-la-Joux chairlift are also easy to reach by ski bus (drives approx. every 15 minutes), which departs approx. 100 metres from the apartments.
In Châtel there is a real winter sports atmosphere! This authentic village consists mostly of chalets and has many nice bars, pubs and restaurants for a cozy après-ski. Also for non-skiers there is plenty to do in and around the village. For example, the village has sledding slopes, an indoor swimming pool with wellness center and extensive cross-country skiing and hiking opportunities. Also facilities such as ski schools, sports shops and child care can be found in Châtel.

Location is top, super central, everything in the center within walking distance. Location relative to elevators and slopes not ideal but that applies to heel Châtel. We are used to walk to the elevator and ski home. That is not possible in Châtel, even if the descent is possible. So location ideal in Châtek. Final rating nevertheless a 7.
