General description

In a beautiful, quiet location, a few kilometers outside Vaujany, stands the spacious chalet Lac Douce. This chalet offers a fantastic unobstructed view of the Lac du Verney reservoir and the surrounding mountains that reach an altitude of over 3000 meters. The chalet changed hands at the beginning of 2016 and has been equipped with new furniture and a Wi-Fi internet connection by the new owner. There is ample parking at the chalet and the chalet has a spacious ski storage room.

The ski bus stop is only 10 meters away from the chalet. This ski bus runs in the morning about 2x and at the end of the day also 2x. If you choose the car, you are in about 10 minutes at the elevator and slopes in the center of Vaujany. This cabin elevator comes right into the middle of the great ski area of Alpe d'Huez (250 km of slopes!). There is ample parking at the cabin elevator. You will also find all facilities such as the ski school, supermarket, restaurant and ski rental in Vaujany. Vaujany also has an indoor ice rink and a large swimming pool with slide, children's pool, sauna and hammam. With a valid ski pass (minimum six days), you have one free entry to the swimming pool and the ice rink.

Chalet Lac Douce is a comfortable chalet where you can have a great stay with a large group. The separate living and dining room ensure that the group splits easily in the evening, where the TV viewers and the game players both have wonderful space.

In December 2020, a new gondola elevator opened in the nearby village of Allemond. The valley station of this "Eau d'Olle Express" can be found at 4500 meters (about 7 minutes by car) from Chalet Lac Douce. This cabin elevator takes you in just 8 minutes to the slopes of the family-friendly Oz-en-Oisans, located at 1350 meters altitude. Ski lockers are available for rent at the cabin elevator and there is ample parking.

Layout

Chalet Lac Douce is built against the mountain and is spread over four floors. The entrance, living room, dining room and kitchen are at street level, which is the third floor.

Living room with beautiful high ceiling, sitting area with television and a fireplace. Additional dining table in the living room. Separate, spaciously decorated, dining room with large dining table, open bar and television. Large kitchen equipped with all appliances such as five hotplates, extra large oven, American fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and professional dishwasher. From the living room and dining room you have access to the south-facing balcony, which offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the reservoir. Separate toilet on the living floor.

A small additional living room with kitchenette is located on the lower floor. In this living room there is a bunk bed. From this living room access to a bedroom with two single beds. Bathroom with shower. Separate toilet.

On the second floor there are four bedrooms, each with two single beds. One family room with two single beds and a bunk bed. One 4-person room with two bunk beds. Two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with two showers. Two separate toilets on this floor.

On the fourth (=upper) floor there is one family room with two single beds and a bunk bed. Bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The chalet has a free Wi-Fi internet connection.
