In the heart of the village of Huez, about 5 km from the famous Alpe d'Huez are the adjacent chalets Nuances. What a space!! Not normal when you first enter, overwhelming. All very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, insanely large living room with chill corner and mega TV, very spacious kitchen and dining table. The garden has a beautiful view of the mountains on the other side of the valley, so very beautiful from the jacuzzi. Also in the evening with the starry sky (including shooting stars!) Bubbling at 40C. Reception, communication and check-out with Philippe very well, only speaks French but communication via whats app and google translate is fine. House was optically clean, but with the French battle. Via 2 lifts in 20 minutes in Alpe d'Huez for children's ski lessons. Elevator is 2 minutes walk. Chalet also (almost) accessible on skis if the valley descent is open (or not open at your own risk, with us gigantic ice shelves, lots of stones and snow cannons spraying in our face). Nothing to do in the village itself, but with such a chalet and a nice group not necessary. Restaurant on google maps in Huez was closed with us during Christmas holidays. And for the bakery you also have to go to Alpe d'Huez by car, so make sure you get bread the day before and roast it in the chalet or something, but then you won't have warm croissants.
