Chalet Edelweiss am See is located in Thumersbach, on the south shore of Lake Zell and near Zell am See. The chalet consists of seven nicely furnished apartments, most of which have balconies with lake views. The AreitXpress cabin elevator in Zell am See/Schüttdorf, which takes you to the top of the Schmittenhöhe (2000 m), is 4.5 km away. This elevator can be reached by car or by free ski bus, which stops right outside the door. Furthermore, the snow-sure glacier ski area of Kaprun is less than 15 km away.
The center of the ski resort of Zell am See is about 6.5 km from Apartments Edelweiss am See. Two more ski elevators, among others, depart from Zell am See to the summit of the Schmittenhöhe. Zell am See also has an attractive center with many stores, restaurants, après-ski bars and you can also visit facilities such as an ice-skating rink and indoor swimming pool. The nearest supermarket is in Thumersbach (approx. 2.5 km away), but there are also many stores to and from the AreitXpress (Schüttdorf).
In chalet Edelweiss am See you can make free use of the sauna and there is Wi-Fi. There is also a ski storage room with ski boot dryer and plenty of parking space in front of the door. Bread roll service is possible.
Additional rental equipment you pick up in Zell am See or Kaprun, the ski rental is in the center of both villages and near a number of ski elevators. Ski lessons start from the AreitXpress in Zell am See (other locations on request).
In all likelihood, the ski area near Zell am See itself will be closed from April 7, 2024. From then on, your ski pass can of course still be used on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier at Kaprun.
On the second floor of Chalet Edelweiss am See you will find the living/dining room with several dining areas, collectively good for 50 people. Next to the living/dining room you will find the professionally equipped kitchen. This was recently (2018) completely renovated and includes six hotplates, an oven, microwave, two refrigerators with freezer, coffee maker, kettle and two dishwashers. Crockery, pans, cutlery et cetera are abundantly available here.
Outside there is a large terrace with fantastic views of Lake Zell, the slopes of Zell am See and the Kaprun glacier. The terrace faces southwest, so here you can take good advantage of the sun!
On the first floor you will find the ski storage room with ski boot dryer and the sauna.
A total of 21 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms can be found in Chalet Edelweiss am See.

Third floor:
Living room with sitting area and television. Additional kitchenette and balcony. Three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one family room with a double bed and a bunk bed (185 cm long). Two bathrooms with bath or shower and toilet.
Kitchen and balcony. Four bedrooms, three of which each have a double bed. One of these rooms can be reached through the fourth bedroom with bunk beds. Three bathrooms (all en-suite) with shower and toilet.
Fourth floor:
Living room with a double sofa bed and television. Additional kitchenette and balcony. Four bedrooms, one with a single bed and one with a bunk bed. One bedroom with a double bed, through this room you get to the fourth bedroom with two single beds. Three bathrooms, of which two with shower and toilet and one with bath and toilet.
