The ski region Matterhorn Ski Paradise is well-known due to the legendary Matterhorn mountain, with an altitude of 4478 meters. The shape of the mountain has been an inspiration for the form of Toblerone chocolate. At the foothill of the Matterhorn the popular winter sports village Zermatt can be found and from here the ski area is easily accessible through the several lifts and cable cars that depart from here.

The ski region of Matterhorn Ski Paradise exists out of the Rothorn Paradise (3103 meters), Gornergrat (3089 meters) Schwarzsee Paradise (2583) and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise (3883 meters). Due to the high altitude this ski region is snow sure and the quality of the snow is great and because of the glacier this region is open all year round.
This region has a broad offer for winter sport lovers of each ability. The slopes vary and offer great variation, from steep, black, mogul slopes to simple, broad, blue slopes. Moreover, this ski region presents the so-called ‘marathon slopes’, consisting of a 22 km run, and the highest slope of the Alps with an altitude of 3883 meters. The area of Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is also directly connected to the ski areas Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournanche in Italy, which offers a total of 350 km of slopes.
For snowboarders there are several facilities offered like a boarder cross, a quarter pipe and a fun park. At the Blauherd there is also the possibility to learn to snowboard as this is where the beginners start.
