We had a wonderful stay at Chalet le Cerf, a great cozy house to stay with family. The view from the chalet is great. The reception was very welcoming: we were given an extensive tour by the owner. Every morning we walked straight to the slopes and could ski from there to the ski elevator (red slope, drag elevator). The location in the ski area is nice: in the quieter Swiss part of Les Portes du Soleil, but you easily ski to the French part. Disadvantage is that the ski pass in Switzerland is slightly more expensive. We had fantastic weather and therefore did not suffer from the slower, older chairlifts in the area. In bad weather, however, it can be bleak.
