The village of Arc 1600 is centrally located in the area of Les Arcs. With the Cachette or Mont Blanc lifts you can easily get to the end of the DeuxTêtes plateau, and from this point you can go many different ways. It is possible to return to Arc 1800 or you can reach Vallandry. The area has a varied range of pistes, offering excitement for skiers of all levels.
This village is particularly suitable for families with small children because it is compact, relatively flat and free of cars. The four villages of Les Arcs (1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000) are all connected by ski buses with each other, so you can easily go and visit another village.
In the vicinity there are numerous possibilities for excursions. For example, you're close to Bourg St. Maurice. A visit to Albertville is definitely worth it as well.
If you're looking for something more traditional you can go to La Millerette / Les Granges. Here you'll find traditional chalets, perfect for people who want the atmosphere of a chalet but still want to ski in the immense area of Les Arcs and Paradiski.
