Our accommodations are divided into different categories. The number of stars indicates the quality of the accommodation.

Stars are awarded based on the following criteria: interior, appearance, square footage, location, state of repair, etc. The number of stars awarded ranges from 1 to 5.

Large catered chalet with sauna and fire place in the centre of Châtel

General description

Chalet Alpaka is a spacious and cozy chalet with sauna in the center of Châtel. You are in the middle of this famous, charming and authentic village. Here you will find a number of ski schools, childcare and all sorts of shopping and entertainment venues. At about 250 meters from the chalet you will find the cabin elevator 'Super Châtel'. This takes you into the ski area which consists mainly of blue and red runs. The "Linga" cabin elevator is located a little further, this area provides access to the villages of Avoriaz and Morzine, the heart of Les Portes du Soleil.

Near the chalet there is a stop for the free ski bus. This will take you to the Linga and the chairlift "Pré-la-Joux" further down the road.

After a long day of winter sports you can relax in the sauna (only available between 17.00 and 19.00 hours) or at the cozy house bar. The chalet also has a ski storage room with ski boot dryers and free internet connection (Wi-Fi). There is ample parking at the chalet.

Chalet Alpaka is rented out including extensive catering service! So you don't have to worry about anything anymore and can fully enjoy everything the area has to offer!

The catering includes:
7x Breakfast buffet; including coffee, tea, fruit juice, baguettes, (chocolate) croissants, cheese, various meats and sweet spreads.
6x Dinner (between 18:00 and 19:30); extensive 3-course dinner, including soft drinks, juices, beer and an appropriate wine, and after the meal a cup of coffee or tea.

Throughout the day, drinks (except strong alcoholic beverages and in reasonable moderation) are included.

In the middle of the week, the chalet boy or girl has a day off. On this day, breakfast is self-service and you are expected to provide dinner at your own expense.

To provide optimal service, the chalet staff themselves also stay in the chalet. They have their own bedroom and bathroom, these are not described further in the text.

You can choose to rent this chalet in combination with the neighboring chalet Pom de Pin. You then have sleeping accommodation for up to 38 people and in chalet Alpaka there is enough room for everyone to eat together.

Layout

Very spacious living room with sitting and dining area. Open kitchen, including a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle and dishwasher. There is also a sauna (to be used between 17:00 and 19:00), a ski storage room and a cozy house bar.

Ten bedrooms, each with a double bed or two single beds. Two 3-person bedrooms with a double bed and a single bed. One 4-bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. All thirteen bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet.
