This village is a part of the four villages that form Tignes together. Tignes-les-Brévières is located at the foot of the dam at a lake, on an altitude of 1500 metres. Directly at the piste of Tignes-les-Brévières there are some cosy and sunny terraces and all other facilities you might need as restaurants, cosy bars, shops, a ski school and ski shops are also situated in the village.

Just above Les Brévières, Les Boisses is situated at an altitude of 1850 metres. From winter 2018/2019 there is a new 8-person cable car, which connects Les Brévières with Les Boisses. This brand new lift replaces the Sache cable car and Les Brévières chair lift.
The other two villages Tignes Le Lac and Val Claret are located higher, on an altitude of 2100 metres. Val d'Isère Tignes has managed to develop itself as one of the best ski resorts in the world. From Les Brévières it's possible to take the ski bus to Tignes Le Lac and Val Claret. It is however not possible to take the bus back, so its recommended to take the taxi at night.
The ski area is especially suitable for advanced skiers. The area under L’Aiguille Rouge connects with the blue and the red slopes to Les Boisses and Les Brévières.
In Le Lac is a fun park and a halfpipe with al length of 70 metres for the snowboarders. The cross-country ski tracks are unfortunately a bit unvaried and are all situated on the frozen lake. Walking becomes hiking in this area due to the high altitude.
