Chalet de la Cîme is located in the quiet neighborhood of La Villette near Vaujany. About 400 meters from the chalet ends a blue slope and there are two ski elevators. The Villette-Montfrais cabin elevator takes you directly into the ski area of Alpe d'Huez and the Vaujany-Villette cabin elevator takes you to the village of Vaujany. From Vaujany you can take the Vaujany-Alpette cabin elevator into the ski area to 2800 meters altitude.
The village of Vaujany is about 1 kilometer from chalet de la Cîme. Vaujany is home to amenities such as a supermarket, sports stores, restaurants, bars, ski school and childcare. The village of Vaujany also has an indoor swimming pool and an ice skating rink.
