In the region of Salzburg, above the villages of Neukirchen and Bramberg am Wildkogel, the mountains of Wildkogel (2225 metres) and the Frühmesser (2235 metres) peak, forming the centre of the family friendly ski village of Wildkogel Ski Arena. This ski area covers 75 km of clear and gentle slopes, and is therefore very suitable for families, beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The ski area consists of 85% blue and red slopes.

The more advanced skiers can go to the nearby ski area KitzSki Kitzbühel / Kirchberg for more ski kilometers (230 km slopes, of which 41 km ski route and 4 km park). You will reach this ski area from the Panoramabahn Kitzbuheler Alpen in Hollersbach, from Bramberg am Wildkogel ca. 5 minute drive and from Neukirchen ca. 10 minute drive.
The Wildkogel Ski Arena is situated in the National Park of Hohe Tauern. Cross-country skiers can enjoy the 45 km of trails and both in Neukirchen as in Bramberg there are lit trails during the evenings. Moreover, hikers can make beautiful tours in this area and if you prefer some variation during you holiday you can make snow-shoe tours as well.
In the area is a 14 km long toboggan run situated, leading from an altitude of 2000 metres through the forest down to the valley of Bramberg. This is the longest lit toboggan run of the world and therefore worth a try! Those who truly enjoy it can easily reach the top via the Smaragsbahn for another run down every Tuesday and Friday until 18.30 hour. Furthermore, there is another natural sledding run leading down from the Wildkogelbahn, starting at the Mittelstation. It is possible to rent a sleigh in Bramberg and in Neukirchen.
You can also ice skate, join the horse sleigh, curling and enjoy the delicious local dishes.
