GASTEINERTAL
The Gasteinertal is situated in the large area of Ski Amade (a total of 760 km of pistes). The ski area of Gasteinertal exists out of three villages, each with their own characteristics. The first village is Dorfgastein where you will experience the cosy and pleasant atmosphere, then there are Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein who both have a more luxurious character, and last the village of Sportgastein, which is very suitable for the sportive winter sport tourist. The Gasteinertal offers ca. 127 km of slopes, not counting the ski area of Dorfgastein / Grossarltal.

Skischaukel Schlossalm - Angertal - Stubnerkogel
The villages of Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein offer access to the mountains of Stubnerkogel (2251 metres) and the Schlossalm (2050 metres). These mountains are connected through the Angertal and offer a total of 87 km of mainly red and blue slopes.
Sportgastein
The village at the highest alititude in the Gasteinertal is Sportgastein (1590 metres). This village has its own ski area of ca. 26 km of pistes.
Graukogel
This small ski area offers 14 km of pistes and is mainly suitable for advanced skiers.
With a ski pass for more days you can use the whole Ski Amade (this are all the ski areas or this region). The ski pass of Ski Amade is valid in Schladming-Dachstein, Salzburger Sportwelt, Grossarltal, Hochkönig and Gastein. Offering a total of 760 km of piste and 270 ski lifts.
Next to skiing and other winter sport activities there are plenty of other things to do, such as playing tennis, indoor golfing and horseback riding. The ultimate experience is however climbing the frozen waterfall. Moreover, it is recommended to spend some time in Bad Gastein as there are many wellness facilities like thermal baths and the thermal caves of Heilstollen.
