Ischgl is an absolute must for those who love winter sports in Tirol, Austria! The advantages of the ski area of Ischgl are that its snow certain from the end of November to the beginning of May and the village of Ischgl has the most extensive event calendar of all of Austria with great opening- and closing concerts. In Ischgl there is a Snow-Show Park and there are extensive nightlife possibilities and the finest après-ski!
The fashionable Ischgl is situated at an altitude of 1400 metres and over 90% of the slopes are above the 2000m mark. With your Ischgl ski pass you can take all the modern ski lifts up to the Idalpplateau (2320 metres) and from here you can access numerous other lifts that lead to different parts in the area.
This ski area offers all elements, and more – from a piste with an automatic speed track to a large fun park. Along the slopes there are diverse après-ski bars situated like the Paznauner Thaya, where you can enjoy yourself on a daily basis in the high-season.
Each year the season is opened and closed on the Idalp with the famous ‘Top of the mountain’ open-air concert: in recent years artists like Rihanna, Pink and Mariah Carey performed during the opening or closing concert.
For those who do not ski there are a number of other activities like cross-country skiing, sledding, hiking one of the wellness facilities.
True après-ski fanatics will be very pleased in Nikki’s Stadl and the Kuhstal – for those who prefer a long night there is the Fire and Eis, the Pacha or the Trofana Alm. If après-ski is not high on your to-do list there are several classy restaurants and bars where you can quietly enjoy your champagne with diverse appetizers.
