Dachstein-West is a ski area with a variable offer and well-visited by lots of winter sport lovers, mainly families with children. Due to the gentle, bowl-shaped valleys, the ski area is particularly suitable for beginners and touring skiers who can ski down and in the meantime enjoy the beautiful view! Furthermore, also the more advanced skiers will be challenged in this area, expecially between Annaberg and Riedlkar. In total there are 168 km of slopes, mostly red runs (125 km). The Dachstein West ski area offers a total of 47 lifts; 31 drag lifts, 13 chairlifts and 3 cable cars.

Cross-country skiers will truly enjoy themselves in Dachstein-West; branded as one of the most attractive areas of Austria. The Salburger Dolomiten trail starts in Annaberg and in total there are 210 km of trails found in the area.
Annaberg is a small and quiet village where hiking is one of the main attractions. This village is chosen as the number one hiking destination of Austria! In this area we offer beautiful detached chalets!
Other villages in the surrounding are Gosau and Rußbach. Gosau is the most quiet out of the three villages as the valley ends here. However, this winter sport village has a good connection to the rest of the area. From Rußbach you can access the ski area the quickest as the cable-car, transporting 1500 persons per hour, and leading to the top of the Hornspitz. There are plenty of facilities for children and there is a 90 metre long half pipe for free stylers and snowboarder situated in this area.
